The partnership between Bweranyange Church District and the Church District of Luebbecke began in the early 1980s through a partnership between the congregations of Levern-Trihausen and Nyakagoyagoye.
Later, the partnership expanded to the District level between Bweranyange and Luebbecke.
Since Luebbecke also has another partnership with the Gerega Bataki Karo Protestant Church (GBKP), the idea emerged to establish a multilateral partnership between Germany, Tanzania and Indonesia.

As part of strengthening the partnership, the District Pastor will visit Germany for six weeks.
