Life and death were celebrated on Easter Sunday at Lukajange Cathedral. As the nation was still mourning the death of her fifth President, the Late John Magufuli, also the resurrection festival was celebrated .As usual The Bishop of Karagwe Dr .Benson K Bagonza presided over Easter service. In explaining the Word, Bishop Dr. Benson Bagonza said, " Dear ones, when the death happens changes will always follow, if it happens and there is no change. It means that the dead or the rest of you have no meaning. The change that tends to appear after the death is the sign to show how God is still at work . And God uses the rest to do the work of the ones who died. In the books of Moses we see that Moses was the greatest prophet before him and after him but when he died before he could reach to the promised land he was buried on the mountain .After the mourning God told Joshua to go ahead and bring these people into the promised land this means that death is not the end of life " He also “ emphasized that even after death, other life goes on, we see that even after Joshua brought the children of Israel to the promised land he died, which means that no one will live forever. I want you to keep in mind that our God creates a new beginning through death that is why after death has occurred Life goes on. We see God bringing new ways to make our daily lives after the resurrection, we find new hope, we gain new confidence and through this it’s a honor to our God and shame to the devil for bringing death”. Said Bishop Benson Bagonza He used the occasion to remind the congregants that the death has also brought about a change in our Nation because it took away our beloved President and God Himself led the change by giving us a new President Hon, Samia Suluhu Hassan. The Bishop also asked the congregants to support and pray for her as she tries to do the right things and keep the nation together . Text :Melina M. Nkongoki
