Bweranyange Girls Secondary School gets Library Building
Karagwe: Since it started, the Bweranyange Girls Secondary School (BGSS) has been facing the challenge of lacking some buildings which are needed for a school. One of these buildings was the school library. The BGSS made a step forward after the handing over of the new library building on 20th January, 2012.This was after the completion of the construction work done by Faustine Mugere building company. The construction work took at least one year since it was started in January 2011. According to the diocesan general secretary Mr.Erasto Kamihanda, the building costs up to this stage is Tanzania shillings 58,260,500/=. This is the support from Vara Parish in Sweden under the good cooperation of Rev. Leif Nordlander. Thanks so much for this brilliant support.
The school headmistress Ms Peresia Bagambilana was full of joy after the handing over of the building. “…we are very happy today; this is very interesting because we have been looking forward eagerly to have this building. Even though the building still needs some materials, but at this stage we are very fortunate” Said Ms Bagambilana.
The building contains reading hall, control room, reference room, librarian’s office, other three offices and two wash rooms. This makes the building looks nice and fantastic on the top of the hill.
The headmistress also mentioned that the building still needs furniture, water tank, wire mesh for the windows and for the time being gutters for taking water to the nearby water tank.
