Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
Kayanga: The staff of Karagwe Diocese at the Head office Lukajange joined together on 22nd December 2011at Karagwe Hotel. This was to congratulate each other and have a good wish for Christmas and happy New Year 2012.Rev. Dr. Brighton Katabaro conducted the opening prayer while the KAD General Secretary Mr. Erasto Kamihanda, introduced the participants. The staff reflected together on the job that they have done in their particular positions.
The General Secretary expressed his thanks to all workers for their good work during the year. “The KAD Head Office is the engine of the diocese and is very busy. Every one of us has been busy to make sure that our strategic plan is well implemented. Thank you all for your efforts.”
The General Secretary reminded the staff about the diocesan synod that will be held at Lukajange next year. He encouraged everyone to be ready for that very important meeting. Mr. Kamihanda also made it clear that some of the projects will get to an end next year. “So we need to prepare good reports for our projects and of course start thinking of other projects because the community needs our services,” said Mr. Kamihanda.
Bishop Dr. Benson Bagonza had time to talk to the staff. He congratulated all workers for all the good things that have happened this year. The Bishop continued by saying: “We thank God for all difficulties, challenges and happy things because they are all from Him."
The Bishop also opened up his joy by giving thanks to all workers for good cooperation and all successes apart from some challenges “…as we are ending this year, we can see some challenges in our work. But let them not break our hearts. “I encourage you to work hard, feel proud and enjoy your work”, added Bishop Bagonza.
According to the Bishop the world is changing so the church can not escape from those challenges. “We are expecting some changes next year. It is very important for us to make sure we get into those changes positively”, said Bishop Bagonza.
Finally he wished everybody a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2012.
