Leverkusen.- In the frame of the partnership to the Evangelical Hospitals in Muelheim and Oberhausen five people from Nyakahanga Hospital visited Germany for two weeks in June.
On Friday June 12th, the delegates took the opportunity to travel 50km to the nearby Church District of Leverkusen. The five delegates Dr. Andrew Cesari, Doctor in Charge, Reverend Oscar Samwel, Mwesigwa Kabululu and sister Petronia Kaihura and Redempta Kahumuza were warmly welcomed by Leverkusen Partnership Committee who has a partnership to Lukajange Church District since 1985.
Especially Reverend Oscar Samwel has been long-awaited by German congregants who met him before in 2007 when he visited Leverkusen Church District for his first time. For all other delegates it was their first trip to Leverkusen where they visited the parishes of Leichlingen and Bergisch-Neukirchen. The meeting with Leverkusen Friendship Committee was used to get in closer touch with each other, share experiences in intercultural partnership and intercultural cooperation and exchange opinions on different matters of living in one world. All in all the visit deepened the partnership between Lukajange and Leverkusen.
