Tegemeo English Medium Primary School

Tegemeo English Medium Primary School (TEMPS) is one of the Primary schools owned by Karagwe Diocese and was established in 1995. The school is a full boarding school with pupils from pre-primary class to class 7. The school’s motto is ‘The fear of God is the beginning of knowledge’.

Objectives

  • To train and mould youths of all sects academically, morally and spiritually;
  • To help parents who had to take their children to the neighboring countries in search of English Medium Primary Schools reduce costs in transport, risks and school fees;
  • To rise the level of both written and spoken English language at pre-secondary level;
  • To develop and promote self confidence and inquiring and understanding mind and respect to elder people and the society.


Since the school started, the academic performance as far as the National Examinations is concerned has been 100% pass.

Presently there are 254 students, 127 boys and 127 girls. The school has 20 staff such as 12 teachers and 8 non-teaching staff (2 cooks, 2 watchmen, 1 school secretary, 1 Matron, 1 assistant to the matron and 1 Patron). The school fees for this year is Tsh.450,000/= for classes 1-7 and Tsh. 350,000/= for pre-Primary.
